Charming secluded 2-bedroom cabin with WiFi, AC in peaceful Richland Center

Charming secluded 2-bedroom cabin with WiFi, AC in peaceful Richland Center

10/10 Excellent
"A very nice cabin in a beautiful setting. It’s in a fairly remote location, but was conveniently located near the Driftless Music Gardens, which we were visiting. Everything worked well, including the WiFi. We never even turned on the TV, so I can’t comment on the reception. Download your online Google map of the area ahead of time, because cell service is spotty out in the country."

The Driftless Escape! Modern, large cabin/57 private acres in WI drift less area

10/10 Excellent
"We enjoyed every minute! The house is beautiful and in a very secluded area, which is amazing!! The yard was beautiful and we had several relaxing fires and really enjoyed the peaceful space. Perfect weather, cool in the mornings and evenings and warm during the day! Just what we all needed to unwind and recharge! Richland Center’s Meat Locker was close by and we got delicious steaks there! We hope to return soon!"

Serenity awaits at this secluded riverfront property

Serenity awaits at this secluded riverfront property

10/10 Excellent
"The property is as described, but better. We are foodies, so we appreciated the fabulous kitchen. There was a Keurig and a drip coffee maker. The owner was very responsive and accommodating. We are also water bugs and planned to swim across to the sanbar against the owners advice. This would be a great place for fishing and you can place a chair along the shoreline with your feet in the water, but swimming is a definite no. Luckily there is a fabulous spot just 1.4 miles away with a safe spot to enjoy a lovely sandbar and the DNR provides free life jackets."

Maon House Bed and Breakfast

Maon House Bed and Breakfast

"What a gorgeous home. Mary was a great host - friendly, personable, and gave terrific advice for local eateries. Breakfast was delicious - the rooms were comfortable and grand. We happened to meet another guest who had been raised in the house and back in town with her husband for a class reunion. Another couple staying there were going to the same event at driftless music gardens that we were. Terrific company all around. Highly recommend!"

"I take my kids to this cabin annually for our kayak trip on the Kickapoo. It works well for us as it sleeps 10, is close to the kayak rentals and within walking distance to the Rockton Bar. The host is very easy to work with and lives right next door. So, he can respond quickly if we need something. He also provides firewood for a reasonable fee. The kids love staying there and look forward to this trip each year."

"Visiting family and friends in the area and stayed in this interesting historical home. I always loved the book HOUSE OF SEVEN GABLES but this might be called the house of 100 doors....a bit of history in the lovely driftless area...great care to the furnishings and personal comfort and many fun entertainments."

"The door lock was having trouble when we first got there but the property manager got it taken care of fairly quickly and got us drinks at the bar while we waited. We saw some reviews that this location doesn't have AC but there is a mobile unit set up now that kept up pretty well with the hot days and was comfortable over night. As well, the room IS above the bar but we had no trouble with noise or anything. If there was an event going on I could see how it might be loud but they weren't open super late and it was pretty quiet while we were there. We really enjoyed our time and the proximity to some great parks!"

Spacious Cabin on the Wisconsin River!

Spacious Cabin on the Wisconsin River!

10/10 Excellent
"We enjoyed our stay at the Wild River Lodge. The hosts were great. They walked us through the house and were easy to contact if issues arose. Our stay included 3 couples and 11 children (aged 5 to 21). Everyone had something to do. The pool table in the basement was a hit. There were two larger tables on the upper level and one on the lower level for games and eating. The beds were comfortable, and extra linens were easy to find for additional beds. Our stay was in late July, and we had a few 100-degree days. The air conditioner kept up, and all levels of the house were comfortable. As expected, the temperature varies several degrees between the upper and lower levels of the house. The kitchen had lots of small appliances, pots, pans, plates, cups, and utensils. The only thing we often ran out of was kitchen towels, even with frequent laundry. The outside space was beautiful. There was lots of room in the yard for games, and plenty of patio furniture for everyone. We were able to kayak across a portion of the river to a sandbar island. There is a current in the river, so swimming across wouldn't be advised. The water was great. We enjoyed many afternoons sitting in the sand and playing in the river. There are two nearby towns with access to groceries and any essential your left behind. We would love to come back for another family trip soon. When we do, we hope to enjoy the nearby winery. The town of Richland Center also has a drive-in movie theater tha"
